This is a (crude) attempt to demonstrate what a Knowledge Navigator concept map might do. Taking the form of a double helix, I’ve charted the last two years of writing I’ve done on AI and the 25 Articles Every Technologist Should Read against each other. This was a time-consuming project but it’s something that a Knowledge Navigator tool could do iteratively and quickly.

Why this is Different:

The Knowledge Navigator would be able to take any selection of documents and then generate serendipitous connections between them. The work to create this image took the better part of the day and involved very deliberate design choices. It’s not perfect as many connections transcend categorical boundaries and only a few are reflected in this document. Manually modeling the complexity of these interactions without iteration would be too difficult.

With an AI-driven solution like the Knowledge Navigator, these connections could be explored at a much deeper and more dynamic level.
The Knowledge Navigator would automate this process using generative large language modeling and allow for iteration and exploration of much more complex connections.
